A lot of blog publisers seem to forget that forums were the equivalent of Blogs a few years ago. I have always made it a point to visit particular forums, to get content and to do some research.
There’s a of wealth of information in forums to help you start out you first Blog or even get breaking news even before they hit the major news sites. Even today there are lots of content that could put your site on the map ( digg, del.icio.us, furl, blink ).
A very good example for content with an equivalent to a breaking news can be seen in the Official Apple discussion forum.

The topic above was found in the MacBook section in the Apple forum. The topic seems simple enough but reading through the thread its more content worthy that you think.
Hello,
since the original thread was closed down without any answer on the subject, here goes: How to get rid of the yellow/grey/orange discoloration a lot of MacBooks are showing? This is a technical issue, so I think there should be no problems with this thread now should there.
OK, another thing: Since the last thread WAS shut down, it certainly seems that someone of Apple is reading these post after all, so maybe any official answers?
Wow, Is Apple hidding something? Should there be a recall on the MacBook? These topics alone can get your sites Dugg ( Digg ). I believe content is everywhere its just a matter looking for it.
Digg and other social bookmarking site exist because they give us the choice what should be breaking news. Most of the sites that do get choosen are not from news agencies but from simple publishers who did their homework.
